Goal of Youth Ministry
To nurture our young people (grades 6-12) in their journey of faith as they develop a lifelong relationship with God in Christ. To do this we provide opportunities to:
- Study the Bible and its relationship to our lives and the world, and experience the power of prayer.
- Participate in mission and outreach projects.
- Enjoy fellowship with one another and the church family.
- Share open discussions of the life issues facing youth.

Sunday School, 9:00 - 10:00 AM
Students are invited and encouraged to come to Sunday School for nourishment and conversation each week. Senior Highs meet in the room next to the elevator on the 2nd Floor. Middle School students meet at the far end of the 2nd Floor. It's worth getting up for!
Youth help raise money for hungry folks near and far through the Souper Bowl of Caring, and a serving a spaghetti lunch for CROP Hunger Walk to support the Blacksburg Interfaith Food Pantry.
Sundays 5:30 - 7:30 PM
Youth Group gathers at the church most Sunday evenings. We also serve God through music and service projects, enjoy movies, and fun activities together at other times and places. Please see the church calendar to check out what is happening on specific dates.
Youth are given the opportunity to participate in worship throughout the year and to lead an entire service on "Youth Sunday" each spring. Adults who provide help and support as advisers are Colleen and Russell Drumheller, and Susan Hunter.

Retreats and Conferences
Setting aside time in our busy lives for weekend Retreats with other young people is a great way to feel God's presence. In the summer, youth have a chance to spend even more time enjoying energizers, keynote and small group discussions, worship, and fun recreation. All this is waiting for us, surrounded by beautiful mountains for Peaks Presbytery retreats at Camp Bethel near Fincastle, VA, at the Massanetta Springs Middle School Conference in Harrisonburg, VA, and the Montreat Youth Conference in western NC.
