Our five confirmands will be meeting with the elders early Sunday morning (8:30 am!) to share their faith stories. It is referred to as an “examination by the Session,” required by the Book of Order. But in truth it is a celebration, in which the youth make a public statement of faith in front of the elders and the elders enjoy and applaud what God is doing in their lives. They have been meeting throughout the semester and working on projects with their mentors, working toward the moment when they publically share their faith.
