What is Realm? Realm is an online church gathering space and database. It is the premiere church connection tool and is used by hundreds of churches like ours. Realm helps our staff, leaders, and congregational community stay connected and informed as we do ministry together. It's a portal on which church members can access the church directory, join small groups, share prayer requests, register for events, sign up for volunteer opportunities, receive information about inclement weather closures, and more!

Getting Started

I set up an account. Now what?

First, check that the information in your profile is correct. Use the button labeled “Edit Profile” to add, edit, or remove information. Upload a picture by hovering over and then clicking the empty photo box next to your name.

Second, check your privacy settings. You can access these by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then selecting “Privacy.” There is more information about Realm’s privacy policies below.

Make sure you’ve installed the mobile app on your phone: iPhone / Android

Check your notification settings: These are in the same dropdown menu where you access your privacy settings. You can also adjust your mobile notifications to text or email.

Use the menu to the left to find ministry groups you participate in or want to join and indicate skills or interests you’d like to use.

What is Realm?

Realm is an online ministry tool designed for real time connection. It helps BPC connect with you and you connect with BPC. If you consider yourself part of this church family, you’ll love it. Realm allows you to manage your personal information and who is allowed to see it, and keep in touch with the groups that matter to you.

Why use Realm?

Realm strengthens church connections. Being the church doesn’t just happen at the church. Realm helps us serve you better and lead BPC well between Sundays. Everyone can be connected from anywhere at any time, right from our mobile devices. It engages everyone in the life of our church by supporting the healthy relationships essential to our church’s mission. We’ll stay organized, and you’ll stay informed about all of the opportunities for fellowship. When we share life together, we will grow together.

Why does none of my giving information show up?

We are rolling out various features of Realm over time. We have not yet transitioned our online giving to Realm. You can still give online through our website. We anticipate switching to Realm for pledges and giving by mid-fall 2026.

Privacy

Your Information is yours. You have complete control over who can see your contact and personal information. Contact information is never public or searchable on the Internet. Any information you elect to make visible to your church family is always protected behind a login. People can only register for an account by invitation from a BPC staff member.

For safety reasons, sharing contact and personal information for children under 18 is limited. Parents determine whether or not to display their child's name in the church directory. Children under 13 may not participate and will not be able to sign in.

What people may see: By default, your contact information (name, address, phones, email) is visible to the entire BPC community as part of the directory. Your personal information (everything else including birthday, gender, allergies, emergency contacts, etc.) is limited to members of groups you are in, group leaders, and administrators. If you choose to, you can make your personal information visible to the entire church. But if you prefer to be more private, you can customize how people see specific information.
